Ready to get face to face with animals from around the globe? We're ready to see you!
Visitors to Noah's Landing tour the farm with a trained guide, who shares facts and stories about each animal while taking out those "kid-friendly critters" that we work with. You'll see signs along the way but we still require a tour for all of our visitors. Why? We think it's the best way to ensure a safe and educational hands-on experience for visitors.
Starting March 20, we are open on Saturdays for family tours and group visits. We are open weekdays for reserved groups such as schools, day cares, and summer camps. From time to time we take our critters into the community through our "mobile nature center" and have to close. You can check the homepage for updated closings.
What To Expect
Noah's Landing is a 12-acre farm located in Coats, NC, offering guided tours to the public on Saturdays. To join a tour, you should plan to meet a Noah's Landing staff member in the gift shop. You can arrive a few minutes early to explore the gift shop, use the restrooms, or enjoy a snack in the picnic area. However, we do ask that visitors refrain from touring the farm on their own while they wait for the tour to begin! At your designated start time, your guide will review the rules and then take the entire group on a guided tour around the facility.
During the tour, you'll have an opportunity to feed our hoofstock and to see and touch our smaller animals. We recommend carrots, thinly sliced, as a delicious treats for our critters.
Tour Length
The tour length varies according to the size of the group and the age of participants. A typical school tour with 10-year-olds, for instance, can take three hours. A tour with younger children may only take an hour and a half. If you have a limited amount of time, please tell your guide in advance.
Food and Drinks
Currently, we do not sell food and drinks on site. We recommend plenty of drinking water or a picnic lunch. We do have picnic tables and bathrooms on site if you'd like to stop and enjoy lunch.
What to Bring
We recommend packing for the weather. During the summer season, we recommend cool clothing and plenty of insect repellent and sunscreen. No matter the temperature, we recommend close-toed shoes.
Accepted Payments
Currently, Noah's Landing cannot accept credit cards for admission fees. We accept cash and personal check with a current ID.
We have picnic tables and bathrooms on site in case you'd like to plan a picnic lunch. And before you go, check out our tips and suggestions page. We hope to see you on the farm soon!
